The processing of a special-shaped flange typically involves dividing it into multiple arc segments. To begin, a square billet is forged and then cold-bent into an arc segment. Subsequently, the arc segment undergoes annealing and stress-relief heat treatment. Afterward, it is assembled into a complete circle and subjected to processing on a vertical lathe, conforming to the desired shape and size. Once this is completed, the fully processed special-shaped flange is transported to the construction site and assembled by welding together the various arc segments, thereby forming a seamless and sturdy connection with the pressure vessel.
The special-shaped flange and the pipe flange cannot be interchanged because they represent different specific dimensions despite having the same nominal diameter. This is due to the fact that the container cylinder and the pipe have varying sizes, even though they share the same nominal diameter. It is important to note that substituting one for the other is not feasible due to these differences in size.
